to be happy Muriel Laradi kinesiology session

She Had Forbidden Herself To Be Happy…

She had travelled a long way.

She contacted me after seeing one of my posts in a Facebook group.

Just before that, she had asked for a sign. Something that would show her where to turn, who might be able to help her.
Then she saw my post.
That is how she found her way to me.

For a very long time, she had been used to taking care of others.

Even as a little girl, she would pray for the people around her. When she started school, she once found herself in tears: there were suddenly so many people that she no longer had enough time or energy to pray for each one of them.

This care for others stayed with her as she grew up.
She gave a lot, carried a lot, cared for a lot of people.
Some difficult experiences in her childhood had also taught her to put others before herself.
And gradually, the people around her became accustomed to her being the one who was always there, the one who helped, the one who gave.
She had done all of this naturally, without expecting anything in return.

But over time, she began to realise that no one seemed to check in on her or ask how she was. No one seemed interested in knowing what she might need.
And when this feeling became impossible to ignore, she saw something even more clearly: people were contacting her because they needed something from her.

That was where the hurt came from—not because she expected to receive something in exchange for all she had given, but because she had begun to see how rarely anyone thought of her simply for her own sake.

And something has started to change.

She is beginning to be clearer in her relationships.
No longer accepting certain things simply because she has always accepted them.
Beginning to look at what she needs too.
Choosing herself more.

But there was something else she realised had always been there in her life:

Whenever something good happens to her, something difficult seems to follow almost immediately afterwards, as if to cancel it out.
To the point that a belief had taken root:

“It is as if I were not allowed to be happy.”

This is what we worked on during the session.

Following what muscle testing was showing us, we arrived at old memories.
Memories that did not even seem to belong to her.
And yet, they still seemed to resonate in her life today.

As though a part of her had continued to obey a very old prohibition, long after it had lost its reason for being.

This is something that always interests me in my work: we can understand so much about ourselves, have already changed, begun setting boundaries, made different choices… and still feel that somewhere, something continues to persist.

Perhaps she was ready to meet this memory now precisely because she had already begun to change:

She carries others less. She is becoming clearer in her relationships. She chooses herself more.
And perhaps she can also consider something that, until now, had felt almost dangerous:
She can be happy without waiting for something to come along and make her pay for it.

Do you take care of others more than of yourself?

Do you feel neglected by others? Has giving become so natural that you have forgotten about yourself?
Can you be happy simply being there for yourself, without always needing to be there for others?

I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey to deeply connect to yourself and find your inner peace and joy.
I offer in-person sessions in West Cork, Ireland, and online sessions worldwide.
