Power of vowels “A” sound to open space inside
Today, I’d like to share something simple.
In my work, I use sound in many forms — including vowels — to support release in the body.
From a very early age, we are taught to hold back instead of expressing.
To silence what we feel to remain loved.
Over time, the throat — our center of expression — tightens.
The voice holds. Breaks. Disappears.
The sound “A” opens space inside.
Where “A” expands,
“O” gathers.
Where “A” lets things out,
“O” brings us back in.
Here is a simple practice.
- Take a few slow breaths.
- Then sound the letter A (the A for Ah, or for A-pple) on the exhale.
- Let it vibrate. No forcing.
- Repeat as many times as feels right.
- Play with the sound. Observe.
The sound “A”, which opens and releases.
It helps release what has been held and brings movement back where things feel stuck.
I use this in my kinesiology sessions, as part of a deeper release process.
And in my own life, when tension builds, this simple sound helps me relax very quickly.
Sometimes, this is enough.
Sometimes, it reveals something deeper.
