Kinesiology session with Muriel Laradi how it works

How does a session with me work — and what happens afterwards?

Today, I would like to clarify a little about the way I work.

Not because every session follows exactly the same process — quite the opposite — but because I think it is important that people who come to see me understand how I work and what they can expect from working with me.

A session usually begins with a conversation.

What feels difficult or uncomfortable today? But also: how could your life be better? What could make a difference and bring you more peace, more joy, or simply put a smile back on your face?

From there, the work can take different directions.

We may look for a theme. I often describe it as the title of the chapter you are in right now: what needs to be looked at today.

We may also work with an intention: the direction you would like to move towards. It is expressed in the present tense and in a positive way: “I am becoming more independent,” “I welcome peace into my life,” “I fully accept my situation”…

Or we simply move forward step by step, following what the muscle testing indicates.

A theme may be worked through in one session, or it may require several. We do not necessarily know this at the beginning.

Then the work itself begins.

I mainly use muscle testing from kinesiology to communicate with the body and guide the session, using different protocols I have learned throughout my years of practice, together with my intuition.

One does not replace the other.

My intuition may suggest a direction, and I then use muscle testing to check whether it is part of the work needed in that session.

In my practice of kinesiology, emotions connected to stress that you are struggling, or no longer able, to manage are at the heart of the work. We explore what may be connected to that stress: one or several memories, beliefs, a relationship, a family or ancestral story, an energetic imbalance, or something very concrete in your present life.

At the end of the session, I check whether there is anything to do in the hours or days that follow: a practice to continue, something to observe or write down, or a particular reaction that may arise.

When something comes up clearly through muscle testing, I let you know so that you understand what to be aware of and, when necessary, what you can do.

However, I do not systematically contact my clients after a session to ask how they are feeling.

This is a choice.

For me, accompanying someone means walking alongside them. It does not mean pulling them forward or overprotecting them. It means respecting their autonomy, their responsibility and their ability to observe what is happening within themselves.

That does not mean that I never follow up. If there is something particular that I feel requires additional attention, we may agree at the end of the session that I will contact you the following day, a few days later, or at another appropriate time.

And if something unusual, difficult or too intense arises after a session, please contact me.

We can look together at what is happening, whether there is something I can do to help, or whether you simply need some time to talk.

There may also be situations that require the support of another professional, particularly a medical professional. My work does not replace this and, when I identify such a need, I will let you know.

Finally, one session is not always enough.

Sometimes a significant change happens after the first session and the person does not feel the need to come back straight away.

But this is not what I observe most often.

In my practice, I generally find that the work begins to settle and become more stable over several sessions. Often three or four. Sometimes more.

This is neither a rule nor a promise. Everyone comes with their own story, their own pace, and the work they have already done.

For me, one of the most beautiful signs that our work together has borne fruit is when you no longer need me.
I accompany you for part of the journey.
But the journey remains yours.

I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey to joyful mindful life.

I offer in-person sessions in West Cork, Ireland, and online sessions worldwide.
